Maricopa, AZ Station Ticket Window Closing, Checked Baggage Discontinued
Effective February 12, 2018
Effective February 12, Amtrak station in Maricopa, AZ, will no longer be staffed, but trains will continue to stop at the station. If you are traveling to or from Maricopa, please refer to the following:
Waiting Area: Passengers will continue to have access to the station waiting area and restrooms for all train arrivals and departures during normal station hours shown below.
- Monday and Saturday 5:30 am - 7:30 am
- Tuesday and Sunday 9:00 pm - 11:00 pm
- Thursday 5:30 am - 7:30 am and 9:00 pm - 11:00 pm
- Waiting room will remain open for late train arrivals.
Passenger Assistance: Amtrak personnel on the train will assist customers boarding and detraining.
Ticketing Options: Customers with credit cards can make reservations and obtain eTickets by using the Quik Trak kiosk in the waiting area, at Amtrak.com, using our free mobile apps, or by calling 800-USA-RAIL (1-800-872-7245). Your eTickets can be printed at home or displayed using a smartphone (no printing necessary). Customers using cash can pay for tickets on the train. Please note that tickets paid for in cash on the train will be priced at the highest fare and subject to availability.
Checked Baggage, Firearms, Amtrak Express and Bike Service: has been discontinued effective January 23, 2018.
Amtrak Thruway Service: to the Phoenix Metropolitan area will continue to serve Maricopa station.
Closest Full-Service Station: Customers who require full customer service for checked baggage, unaccompanied minor travel or other services provided by employees, can use the Tucson station located approximately an hour and a half drive East of the Maricopa station and about two hours from downtown Phoenix.
